Hi everyone,

I have a question about the behavior of the cooling pump. A few days ago I had the music on low volume (rarely happens x3) and noticed that after a short drive in quite cold temperatures (about 2 minutes, temperature around 5°C ) the cooling pump was running, cabin heater was off though. Same thing happend when I plugged it in and after a few minutes the pump started running for a moment, outside temperature was close to 10° C. Is this a normal behaviour or should I check some temperatur sensors?

The coolant pump runs on a time cycle and doesn't appear to be temperature based. There's no real rhyme or reason to it running.

There may be some temperature override at some point to run the pump and radiator fan to prevent overheating, but as far as I know, nobody has ever gotten their car hot enough to trigger any such feature.
