Wanted- iMiev Motheboard

My 2012 Mitsubishi motherboard has gone

Want to repair the car so I can use it but high quote for new part

Can anyone help?

Apologies. My 2012 imiev stopped working.
I assumed it was the battery

But the Mitsubishi dealer said it was the motherboard and quoted me 6k to repair it

The car cost me less than this to purchase

Perhaps try another repairer? At leat that might tell us the real name of the part that the diagnostics says has failed. I don't know of any motherboard in an iMiEV.

Are there any fault lights on? Any trouble codes on any paperwork? What exactly happens when you try to start?

@Coulomb's comments are spot-on.

By far, the most common failure in the i-MiEV is the wide range of failure indications that result from a bad 12v battery. Presumably either you or the Mitsu techs checked this first.

Again, does the car run at all, and what are the indications (if any) on the dashboard display?

We'll keep the dialogue going to see if we can be of some assistance.
