I bought a 2012 iMiev about six years ago and it's been running like a clock until today.

This morning my car was fully charged (16 KwHs), and I drove 14 miles to an appointment. About halfway there the turtle icon flashed on when I accelerated above 40 mph, and went away when I slowed down. It felt like the time I ran out of juice completely, and the car was underpowered. But I still had about 13 KwHs. Also, it was about 8F degrees where I live.

So what's going on? I have less than 50,000 miles on the car. Does it sound like the battery pack needs to be replaced? What can I expect to pay for that?

Thanks guys.

Hi there
It certainly sounds like a battery related issue similar to (but not as bad as) below as your car doesn’t shutdown

First step is to invest in an OBD2 dongle and read out the pack data, btw how old is your 12V aux battery?
