Re: No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

Simon (username: DBMandrake) is the smartest guy in Scotland for solving problems and he knows how to open a pack and change cells because he did it. There is an EV forum at SpeakEV with lots of UK and EU folks, that may be able to help you find somebody local. I'm flattered. I saw civjdh's ...

Re: hobdrive - and i-MIEV ion zero, show electronic control units, reset errors

I’m looking to run HobDrive on an iPhone with a Bluetooth OBDLink MX+. I’m not having any success. From my reading if earlier posts, if appears that this configuration is not supported. Could anyone please confirm this or offer some tips to get it working? Thanks, Andrew Couldn't get it working her...

Lexia 3 is the interface hardware. Diagbox is the software you run.

Unplug the high voltage cables for the heater and AC compressor to eliminate the possibility one has a short ?

Re: Troubleshooting and repair for On-board Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter

OBC 39 is Power factor correction (PFC) circuit output voltage abnormal; the PFC boost is done after the rectification of the input AC voltage and is in the vicinity of the 3 large capacitors on the bottom board. The control ic IC312 for the PFC is on the bottom side of the board, so i would recomm...

Re: not charging my iON, cell or CMU or BMU problems

Thanks Simon! Very good to know he has solved with a new LTC chip. As long as it's done very carefully by someone with the right solder rework equipment and skills, it does seem that the LTC chip replacement is the most likely repair method to be successful, (side stepping all possible numbering an...

Re: not charging my iON, cell or CMU or BMU problems

Martin has probably forgotten to post back here but on SpeakEV he has reported the problem as solved. There was an interesting wrinkle to the issue though - his car is so old that it has pre-production or very very early production CMU boards which are coloured Red instead of the normal Green and ha...

Re: 12V battery cumulative drain higher then overall charging.

Guys, You're all barking up the wrong tree here looking for a problem that doesn't exist. A parasitic drain when the car is off and locked of 13mA is perfectly normal and in fact very good by the standard of many cars! The parasitic drain of my older ICE car (which has an alarm and of course central...

Re: MCU 20A 450VDC fuse investigation

That was an issue i found-- the minimum order quantity from PEC. i needed something quick to get back on the road so i ordered what was available from Mouser, which was the 30A since they were out of stock in the 20A version and it had a 12-week lead time. With all this talk of finding alternative ...
