Re: Manually Moving the Shifter to Neutral

Howdy Don,

i think that the brake pedal has to be depressed and the key switch turned to the ON position to allow the cables to move within the shift tower.

Re: A/C Condenser Fan

Howdy Don,

Are you in "Max" mode--has the button been pressed for Max? That happened to me when i first got the car, and i didn't know how to stop it and worried i wasn't gonna make it home.

Re: i-Miev Suspension Front Control Arm Bush Replacement

i would replace all the rubber and plastic parts, e.g. the top and bottom spring protectors (rubber), the "bearing" and its cover plate (i suspect it is just a plastic plate and bushing), the isolator piece (likely rubber), plus i would replace any washers or nuts that get removed (this is...

Re: Troubleshooting and repair for On-board Charger (OBC)

Where are you located?

From your previous posts it seems that your 4.7 Ohm ceramic resistor had blown and that the waffle plate seems okay.

Do you have several defective OBC units? Maybe they can be used for spare parts.

Re: Software to Read BMU monitoring data

This is becoming more relevant with the possibility of changing out a degraded pack to larger capacity cells. i wonder where and how did someone discover that "761" is the ID code for the BMU ecu? Also i wonder about the "0221xx" command codes--what is the structure, format and m...

Re: I-Miev does not blow hot while driving.

i looked up FSM info for a 2012 model here, Factory Service Manual The Factory Service Manual indicates that there are trouble codes (DTCs) for the A/C and Heater systems, although there will not be a warning light on the dash. So reading the DTCs thru the OBDII connector would be a good start to de...

Re: I-Miev does not blow hot while driving.

Howdy mitsum, and welcome to the forum. That is quite a puzzling situation. The good news is that your PTC heater is ok and functional as that can be expensive to replace. The car uses a different control function for the heater during charging than when in READY, as you have discovered. It is all d...

Re: blown resistor

i can't access the photo--the link wants a login for viewing..? But i'm gonna guess that you are talking about the light blue snubber capacitors (they look like blue M&Ms). The caps are 100nF rated at 1kV, but higher voltage 2kV and up better ones are available from electronics vendors such as M...

Re: Decyphering iMiEV and iON CAR-CAN message data

This is like peeling an onion. May be old news for some folks, but it's new to me. It appears that "anko" from the mitsubishi Outlander PHEV forum has figured out a method to send a query request to the BMU to access the BMU Data Items List which is mentioned in the FSM when using the MUT ...

Re: Getting a new battery!

Several of us have had the pack replaced under warranty. Working great with no issues. Nobody has dismantled one to see the cell type but i think they would be the latest version available from Yuasa.
