Re: Miev energy level indicator gauge bar shows empty after three hours of charging

Zel, welcome to the forum. I found your post in the Tech/Reference subforum which is Read Only which means no one would have been able to answer your question, so I moved it into this Battery Management subforum. Your problem sounds as though something lost it's mind and perhaps a reset is needed. I...

VW ID.4 EV

Finally, if I'm looking correctly at a photo on the VW website, another EV with a completely flat floor with the back seats down! Charging port on the right-rear like our i-MiEV (best location IMO). Initial reviews are very positive, with emphasis on the car's silence (by an experienced EV'er and Te...

Re: Range Remaining Lower at Full Charge

Update: after the full charge that only showed 52 miles RR, I drove it until one bar left (which showed 5 miles RR). I charged to full, RR now shows 59 miles, which is fine considering I drove to diminish it including running the heater, so I consider that back to normal. Oddly though the charger s...

Re: Interior courtsey light or dome light not working

Hi steve1960, welcome to the forum. I suspect that no one responded to you simply because this is probably the first instance of this problem. The rear dome light is fairly simple: power comes in on one pin, the variable 'ground' (from the ETACS-ECU) comes in on another pin (which provides the dimmi...

Re: Range Remaining Lower at Full Charge

It's winter - I wouldn't worry about it. Seat heater has a negligible contribution to range decrease. What year is your i-MiEV? You say that RR=62 is normal... do you fully fully charge the car often in that NOLA heat? THAT I would worry about from the perspective of battery longevity... If you're c...

Re: Achieving ready light without BMS connected, a REX and some flood

drcat, congratulations on your purchase! Before you do anything to/with the car, DRIVE IT! Get a feel for what works and what doesn't, and especially note how simply driving gently and slowing down has a dramatic effect on how far you can go. We have a saying around here: "Range is whatever you...

Re: Lost a Bar Overnight First Time

Um, thomash85715, a few points, if I may - 1. Amount of time it takes the car to charge, irrespective of Level 1 or Level 2, has nothing to do with the end RR reading. 2. EXACTLY what Amp-hour reading did CaniOn give? 70% does not tell us which baseline you used. My guess is that your capacity is ar...

... It's real since 2012  The box can connect to chademo plug. This thing never came to fruition as far as I can tell. https://www.plugincars.com/mitsubishi-unveils-blackout-inspired-i-miev-power-box-114873.html Discussed on this forum, among other places, here: http://myimiev.com/forum/view...

Great! Adoepner, thank you for following up with this fix. I shudder to think what Mitsu charges for these things.

Re: 2016 iOn with 34k km / 21k miles

Yuri, thank you for the plot showing battery capacity vs. mileage for various years. Interesting that the newest ones show in-excess of 45Ah. The CaniOn app is very good for looking at cell voltages, but if I recall it does not work on the 2016 or 2017 cars to display battery capacity (Ah). I think ...
