Re: low frequency rumble

Hi Folks, Answer to my own question: Today Maeve got inspected and the shop looked at the tires, drove her. The rear tires are original, not as supple as they used to be, and in cooler, not summer, weather, and causing the rumbling. In a year or so I'll put some new tires on the rear. Interesting th...

low frequency rumble

Hi Folks, My 2014 named Maeve has a constant, low frequency rumble, down about 30 hertz. When stopped there is no sound. When driving it can be heard whether I'm driving 25 or 45 mph. I know what a worn CV joint sounds like, and it changes pitch with speed. This sound doesn't change pitch, so I don'...

Re: wheel lug nut size?

Hi Michael,

Thanks! My 13/16" socket isn't deep enough for me to check.
13/16" = 20.6375mm so it looks like 21mm is the metric equivalent.

Thanks and good health, Weogo

wheel lug nut size?

Hi Folks,

What size socket is needed for the wheel lug nuts?
19mm is too small, 22mm is too big, so it is either 20mm or 21mm?

Thanks and good health, Weogo

low-budget steering wheel heater cover

Hi Folks, I installed this heated steering wheel cover on Maeve: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HL4HW8Y?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Plugs into 12V accessory socket and works well! The furry surface isn't as solid as the actual wheel, but good enough. The grip diameter is a bit bigger ...

Re: Hi I'm a new member of the forum

Hi Paul,

Welcome! Do you have an I-MiEV? Any questions?
My wife and I have a 2014 named Maeve that we really like.
We're in the North Carolina mountains.

Thanks and good health, Weogo

Re: UPDATE COMPLETE: Updating Software and Moving Servers

Thanks for keeping all of this rolling!

Currently my brother and his wife have Maeve as I'm temporarily in NY state.
Brother's wife is now on the hunt for an EV. They are out in the sticks, so looking for a little longer range.

Good health, Weogo

Re: What Gauge Ground Wire

Hi Milwauken,

At 12 volts, with an 80 amp / 960 watt load, 15" wire length, 8 gauge wire, voltage drop is 1.3% or .16 volt.
Changing to 10 gauge wire, V-drop is 2.07% or .25V.

Does anybody know what the actual maximum amps load is on this wire?

Thanks and good health, Weogo

Re: Charging

Hi BrennZenn, Congrats on your trip! My favorite camping place is about 3000' elevation up, and about 100 miles round trip. I could stop about half-way there and again half-way back and charge at a L2 station for a couple hours each time and make the trip but haven't tried that yet. The standard J17...
