Re: Recent recall for brake vacuum pump. Issue of distant dealership.

My brake light recently came on while driving so I decided to call my local dealer. I hadn't gotten a recall notice yet in Canada either. It seems the part is on recall and they don't even know when the part will be available! So the car is just sitting in the garage as it's too dangerous to drive. ...

Re: ChargePoint Charging Question

The hint by ChrisEV that the timeout occurs at 36% is a great clue, as I had previously never been able to understand when this occurs. Hi JoeS, Here's data from my OVMS module the last time it happened in December: https://i.imgur.com/DcCaen3.png Columns are SoC, charge voltage, charge current and...

Re: Electric Motor Warning Light

I used Hobdrive to reset the DTC and everything is fine. Had no idea it can do that!

Noticed my BMU thinks I have 45Ah capacity so I will have to drive around until the capacity corrects itself. Battery was disconnected for so long it reset.

Re: Electric Motor Warning Light

I've had the entire battery disconnected for way more than an hour and it's still on. At this point I am worried there's something else going on. I might have to get the diagnostic code from the car. And yes that positive clamp is bad. It wasn't corroded very much at all but the connection was loose...

Electric Motor Warning Light

Hello everyone, I've got an odd problem with my 2012 i-MIEV. Not too long ago I had intermittent trouble starting my car. Since it has a new 12V battery so I didn't think it was that and after troubleshooting it turns out the positive battery terminal was somewhat corroded and wasn't making proper c...

Re: ChargePoint Charging Question

I do not know any Chargepoint station model numbers, but on all four dual cord Chargepoint stations that I have tried, all four very dependably change to just 1.1kW after the pause. The single cord Chargepoint stations dependably return directly to 3kW. These are the shared power stations correct? ...

Re: ChargePoint Charging Question

I'm in Canada but my 2012 i-MIEV doesn't have this problem and I have tried many chargepoint units around the city. Is there a specific ChargePoint model# this happens at? But my car has done the timeout many times at a ChargePoint station, it usually happens If I arrive with 20% or less, it will ti...

Re: Weird Charging Curve

I'm on a bit of a trip so I am charging at a Chargepoint EVSE I've never used before. Both of these charges after a 30 minute highway drive so I arrived at 15%-20% SoC. https://i.imgur.com/bRVjNJl.png https://i.imgur.com/lrAZo5b.png The car seems to pause the charge at 20%. The first time it was at ...

Re: ChargePoint Charging Question

My mistake that's not actually a ChargePoint charger, it's a company that has a partnership with them and you can use your Chargepoint card to start a session. I only see such spikes with their chargers. Here's an actual Chargepoint charge session from a dual head charger. https://i.imgur.com/EtQGdK...

Or maybe your battery is in a state where the BMS doesn't decide to do the pause.
I shared this earlier.
