Re: Chademo charging not working

Chademo charging current runs directly to the battery thru some large contactors in the pack; there is no charger for Chademo on the vehicle, just the big assed connector with the communication and power terminals. The car communicates with the Chademo station to initiate and control the session. T...

Re: Chademo charging not working

Thanks.
The AC climate fan issue is recent but the Chademo issue has been for several years now. I wonder if the charger has burned up?

Chademo charging not working

Mostly charging at home with 1772 but have not been able to charge with Chademo side level 3 chargers in recent years. It does not connect! Charger support has no idea why either. I know these are often broken so not sure if the problem is on my charger. How do I verify if there is problem with my c...

Blower not working

So without warning blower fan for interior climate did not work one morning. The little yellow light does not work, on the button on center console where you turn it on, either. Looked all the fuses but can not find which fuse its under. All fuses under dash and under hood seemed good. Opened the fa...

Re: So I bought the i-Miev.

Found the compressor and the can of tire fixer, still has few months until out of date. It takes Philips head screws to open the cover. There is a washer that you can use instead of screw driver. Seems that there was something else there. Maybe tire wrench? Should be 21mm. Replaced the cabin air fil...

Re: 1 MONTH OWNER 2012 MIEV

I got my Nema 50amp plug installed and was able to use the heater with the 240v 32amp Level2 I got from ebay and it was toasty in 10min. Most mornings in Oklahoma are in upper 60 this time of the year so the Level1 does fine for me, but when we hit the cold North winds I need to make sure I got my L...

Re: 1 MONTH OWNER 2012 MIEV

Great! I bought my "supersized yelly bean" not long ago too! I got little tool that I use before I plug my charger into unknown place. It tells you if its working and wired correctly. These are available in many stores. https://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-110V-125V-US-Socket-Plug-Safety-Tester-Hig...

Re: 240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

Extending high amperage is dangerous and you need to make sure you have what it needs. Look for cables that have good size AWG wire and are not damaged. The longer the cable the smaller the AWG number. Most codes will give you minimum but I say get one to make sure you don't fail. Like 6 AWG copper ...
