cdysthe, thank you for the explanation. I had not realized that the Outlander had this inverter built into it. Nowadays, Ford and Hyundai/Kia marketing is making a big deal of their ability to use the vehicles' traction battery to provide ac power through their own inverters - Ford's is built-in whe...
Seeing as my 2012 is now out of warranty, I ordered a 0HEV030.ZXISO from mouser.ca to replace my MCU fuse immediately... [/i]Good for you! I had planned on doing the same but forgot and my OBC failed six weeks after the warranty expired. Hope the fuse replacement does indeed preclude the OBC failur...
...I drove down and we charged from the PHEV until we could get it home. Took a couple of hours though... [/i]Glad it all worked out. Um, how exactly did you charge the i-MiEV? Does the Outlander have a 120vac outlet? I was going to suggest a convoluted scheme of hooking up a 1000W inverter to the ...
Hi John - nice to hear from you. Yes, our car batteries are wearing out - how many miles do you have on your i-MiEV? My original i-MiEV without CHAdeMO (which I sold to a friend seven years ago) at around 90K miles finally bit the dust not being able to go more than 20 miles with turtle showing duri...

In addition to the normal mechanical things one checks when buying a ten-year-old car, especially if exposed to salt in a winter, there are a couple of things I would do: 1. Get an OBDII adapter and one of the apps which tells you what the battery capacity is, as I believe this is the overriding con...
macowi, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your problem. I don't recall this ever being discussed on this forum. I was hoping that someone experienced with this would chime in. I cannot imagine that continuous running of the coolant pump is normal, nor that Mitsu would have made such a design...
My guess is that the OBC only gets powered up during charging so there is no CAN buss activity during READY. To test this you could just unplug the connector to the OBC and see if it goes to READY or not and throws a code. If it works then you could proceed with the plumbing bypass. [/i]Kenny (kiev...
