The National Highway Safety and Transportation Authority has recalled all Mitsubishi cars from model years 2010 through 2014 due to a failure that can occur with the brake vacuum pump. The cars in the recall were built between September, 2009 and March 25, 2014. Mitsubishi will reprogram the software and/or replace the pump itself.

It happened a while ago to the US version of the Mitsubishi i-Miev, called the Mitsubishi i in the US, and now it’s the Canadian i-Miev’s turn. Mitsubishi is planning to move up the nationwide rollout of the Mitsubishi i-Miev electric car in response to better than expected interest. Mitsubishi dealers across the US are clamoring to get one of the electric iMievs into their show rooms.
The concept unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show was called the PX-MiEV II and looked similar to the Mitsubishi Outlander. The production version will be named the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid and Mitsubishi is planning to launch it by April 2013.
