All Mitsubishi i-MiEVs between 2010 and 2014 recalled for brake issues

The National Highway Safety and Transportation Authority has recalled all Mitsubishi cars from model years 2010 through 2014 due to a failure that can occur with the brake vacuum pump. The cars in the recall were built between September, 2009 and March 25, 2014. Mitsubishi will reprogram the software and/or replace the pump itself.

Mitsubishi i-MiEV vs Cadillac ELR

The Cadillac ELR is nearing release (see here), and there’s been lots of rumors floating around about whether or not Mitsubishi will continue to offer the i-MiEV in North America. Mitsubishi iMiev in Canada named most fuel-efficient subcompact

It happened a while ago to the US version of the Mitsubishi i-Miev, called the Mitsubishi i in the US, and now it’s the Canadian i-Miev’s turn. The Government of Canada Minister of Natural Resources Joe Oliver recently announced the fuel-efficiency of new vehicles in 10 different classes of cars and trucks.

Canada’s first vehicle charging network is in Quebec

As previously written, Hydro-Quebec in Quebec Canada is a supporter of electric vehicles and is taking part in cold weather testing of the Mitsubishi iMiev electric vehicle; it should come as no big surprise that the first EV charging station network in Canada is in Quebec.

Outlander Plug-in Hybrid coming in 2013

The concept unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show was called the PX-MiEV II and looked similar to the Mitsubishi Outlander. The production version will be named the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid and Mitsubishi is planning to launch it by April 2013.
