Rick, Have you any word from Best Buy since the info below? I'm quickly getting discouraged with no answers from dealership & other companies who should know things in regards to Electric Cars here in Hawai'i. Aloha, EnviroFusion

For myself & Rick - we both live on another island from O'ahu where the 'Best Buy' Geek Squad are. Makes it tough for inspection and information in general. I don't believe they have considered the scenario's of 'outer islanders' purchasing the Mitsubishi i's.

Mahalo everyone for posting their experiences regarding the deposit/purchasing for the iMiev. This has been an interesting process & experience. I'm going to check with the local Mitsubishi dealer here regarding the pricing to see if they will honor the PRE- (increase) pricing for Hawaii.

I sort of felt this coming. I didn't realize there was three versions of the iMievs. Rick is the rebates for Hawaii the FULL $7500? I thought that had decreased to $4500. For those who put a deposit, did Mitsubishi notify you of the increase in price or did you see it like I did via web?

Just learned today that they have the European version at the dealership for consumers to 'look' only. No test driving.

Thanks for keeping us updated on your experience with Cutter Mitsubishi on your 'i' purchase. Do let us know what the extra cost's are for your optional choices you made. Like I said, I dont need all the bells & whistles but it would be nice to have the 'i' interior in the Brown color in the ES...

Yeah, I think sitting in it and actually getting the feel of how much space/room there is in the 'i' is the real test for our liking.
