Yeah Joe, I didn't get to speak with the mechanic but, on my paperwork it says" during inspection found that OBC relay was not fully seated causing intermittent connection". I just drove it home and it looks pretty good!

Hey guys, just heard from the dealer, They said they found problem to be a bad connection on a Relay. $90 for diagnostic and that's it! I can't believe it! Ok, I haven't picked it up yet but, I'm optimistic...we'll see.

Hey folks, sorry tuned out for a while. Changed battery (3rd one) onthis 2012. Still get intermittent ( ! ) . Codes I see now are U1111 and P1a10.

Hey Kiev, yeah that car was just in the dealer to replace the vacuum pump. They indicated the battery (aux) was ok but, i know it is old. I'll try changing out,see if improves. Thanks for the reply!

Hey Kiev, yeah I'll let them know about the ( ! ) . and getting the charger is a good idea. I forgot to ask them for it when I got car. They changed it straight away in october or november tho, i wonder if they still have it or could find it.

Hey Joe, yeah $6300 is way more than i thought i'd ever spend but, to replace that car would be 30 to 40 grand. And I get to park at my work place free, saves $18 a day. I thought, when I bought it, what could ever go wrong on an electric car? Now I know.

Just an update...Holy crap I got my IMIEV back ! 7 months at dealer and they finally fixed it (fingers crossed) .They changed on board charger, 10 and 20 amp fuses, charging port...$6300! Seems to drive OK, I get an intermittent exclamation light tho, it comes on for about 5 seconds at a time...

Thanks for all the support and knowledge over the years but for now It's in the hands of the dealer.

thanks jray3, yeah I've read through a lot of that but that level of expertise is beyond my pay grade. I mean I can turn a wrench but, that dealer has already changed out the charger and I think they're currently chasing codes. So frustrating, no rust,big parts seem fine, hard to think about...

over four months at dealer ( Cutter Mitsubishi in Aiea , Hawaii ) and still no IMEV! Worst mistake ever, buying that IMEV! What can I do, dealer can't or won't fix it!?

I've been driving around with my new battery for a few months now and have noticed about 20% increase in range(compared to new). Before I had the warranty replacement my SoC degraded rapidly. The last time I took it to the dealer I could only get 3 bars. Those were my magic words though...

I just drove my car till it wouldn't go any more. It was only a couple of miles from my house. I agonized over it and I towed it home :shock: . I left it in on/ neutral and towed it. I charged it up and it seems OK (fingers crossed)

I towed my IMEV. I ran it completely dead only a couple miles from my house. I agonized over it but, I turned the key to run, put it in neutral and towed it to my house with the rear wheels on the ground. :shock: I charged it up, seems ok.
