service at 24 month..how much should it cost?

I've had mine since spring of 2012 with over 36k miles and the only service I've had was the gearbox oil and one set of tires. I let the dealer do the service because I felt so guilty for all the warranty and recall notices I've come in for. I figured that I should at least pay once for my...

Mitsubishi iMiEV vs. Honda FitEV EPA Ratings

I read a Fit EV review that said that Honda used the engine from their fuel cell car that they have been experimenting with for years. Maybe they have better more efficient system. I would love to drive one; 700 lbs heavier but twice the power.

Soon To Be a New MIEV Owner

In my case I am currently building my garage and the EVSE recommended a 40amp breaker and required a NEMA 6-50 outlet. I installed a 40 amp breaker but I ran wiring rated for 50 amps because the outlet is rated for 50 amps. The point I was making is that $100 for the heavier wire is nothing...

Soon To Be a New MIEV Owner

While we're on the topic of EVSE wiring I just ran 8 gauge wiring to a 50 amp 220 outlet in my garage because I picked up a new GE wattstation EVSE for $560 on e-bay. The GE is a 30 amp EVSE which the i doesn't need but what happens when my next EV has a 7200 watt charger? I would rather...

    G.E. Wattstation & Nissan Leafs

I have a GE Wattstaion and it quits charging when I turn on the remote. At first I thought it wasn't compatible with the car, but turns out to be that stupi... little remote. The wattstation works fine. If, when you turn on your remote your wattstation stops charging turn on the remote again and...

FYI, Seattle Airport EV charging Stations

Well.....I didn't get to charge at the airport and I lost my $3.00/hr parking stub. I saw a stub on the ground by my car and took it, assuming it was mine. then got charged $9.00 for 30 min. I would have come out ahead using the Hilton! As soon as I get my level 2 charger working I'll...

FYI, Seattle Airport EV charging Stations

My friend told me that they had just installed EV charging stations on the 5th floor of the SEATAC parking garage. It just so happens that I needed to pick up the wife so I figured that I would go a little early and plug in the car. THE SEATAC CHARGING STATIONS CONSIST OF A 120V OUTLET!!! I was...

    SPX Power Xpress problems

My SPX EL-50600 got soaked in the downpour over the weekend and now the Power LED is on but the Status LED is off. Does anyone know of any master reset other than the little reset button on top? I really don't want to send it in.....but, good thing I still have the SLOW Mistsubishi EVSE.

I level 1 charge with my Power Express at 14 amps measured from the wall with a kill-a-watt.

    SPX voltec charger on 110v?

I have a SPX Power express and it can be run off of 120v level 1 or 240v level 2. I bought the SPX because it was the only power supply, I could find, that could do both. revised: I spoke too soon..... The spec sheet for the SPX voltec lists input as 208/240v 15amps. Though it lists 95v-265v for...

Just signed up for a ChargePoint card

I use a ChargePoint card and it's free at some locations but when I attempted to sign up for a Blink card the website stated that I get charged $2.50/hr unless I paid a $30 annual fee?

    Third Brake Light Flasher

I used to drive in B too, but then realized that when you touch the brakes the car regens the same as if you were in B, except the brake lights illumnate. At least the pwr guage seems to indicate that.

    Any Regrets?

1500 miles and I (we, the wife drives my car more than me) have no regrets at all. This amazing car has exceeded all of my expectations. at fist I didn't want to buy the Mitsubishi because of all the negative reviews. I was waiting for the Chevy Spark EV because I thought a 49KW motor was too...

    charging question

I can add: I charge at home off 120v with an SPX EL50600 EVSE because it will work with 120v or 240v and it and the current is adjustable. It draws 14amps at 120v. I started trying to track my power usage with a kill-a-watt meter and it seemed to take about 20kwh to fill the 16kwh battery. Then...

    Fuel costs

I was talking to a coworker yesterday and he wanted to know how much it actually cost to drive the Mitusu i. I never really compared electricity to gas, so I told him that I have a 16kw battery, but I usually charge at no less than 1/2 battery level, or 8kw. at $.12/kw it comes out to $.96 and...

    What's everybody paying?

Up here in Everett WA I picked up my SE for $1000 under MSRP. The dealer had 6 of them that weren't moving, including my pre-order SE model. I think they had a few pre-orderrs form customer that were not ready to buy. I wasn't ready to purchase my pre-order but they ordered it anyway. I was...

Problems about charging and starting !!!

Try plugging in your 120v charger. You might have something wrong with your 220v power supply. If the 110 v charger does not work either, then you have a problem with the on board charger....... If "high-level lamp" means state of charge, then I agree that the auxiliary battery need jumped. Get...

Practical solutions for extending cold weather range

First, I preheat while it's plugged in and use the seat heater. Then I tried this "NanoSafeguard" stuff that I found on the web to help with defrosting. Sounds like a gimmick but it helps keep he windows defogged. So far it has worked very good in Seattle's mild wheather. I usually drop one bar...
