I am assuming the dealer checked the 12v? Right now they will also be driving the car 40 miles, to drain it down I guess. Are there any test results I should ask to see before they return the car to me? I assume they will find some reason not to replace.

Well, they are doing all kinds of tests for draining and filling the battery. Corporate wants them to reset some kind of smoothing function, which they think might fix it. The 12v was replaced 22 months back.

So the dealer still has my car, and is doing a multitude of tests for corporate engineers in Japan.

Yes, I suppose you are right. Unfortunately, the dealer in Albuq where I bought it said all dealerships would be certified with 6 months when I bought it. That never happened. It's too bad the market is so weak in a place like Él Paso.

I live 250 miles from nearest qualified service dealer. Mitsubishi allowed me to use my roadside assistance to get the car to the dealer (in Albuquerque), but I have to get it towed back. It's unfortunate the dealers in El Paso texas are not certified! Do you think I should demand they tow it back?

Incredible. The i-miev is incredibly fun to drive. It has awesome acceleration in town. Being a small car with great acceleration is why its so fun, I think. Its too bad there was such minimal marketing.

Well, they delivered it to me (250 miles). But it was 20,505 + 695.33 (tax & license) + dealer service transfer fee (297.50)=21,498.33 Of course, this is before the 7,500. Put that in there, and it brings me below 14,000.
