Mitsubishi increases the MSRP on the U.S. version of the i-Miev

Due to ‘unforeseen’ market conditions, Mitsubishi Motors North America has made a price increase of $1135 to the 2012 Mitsubishi i Electric Vehicle.

Some speculate that the price increase is due to the rise in metals used in making batteries, while others suspect it has to do with the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Yen.

Despite the pricing adjustment, the 2012 Mitsubishi i remains the most affordably-priced mass-market electric car available in the marketplace today.
