I have a 2010 i-MiEV using the same cable charging system and want to upgrade it to the EVSE type so I can use public J1772 chargers. At the moment it has the correct J1772 plug and socket with the proximity pin connected, but no pilot pin...so nothing happens when using a public J1772 charger...

I understand the 20kWh battery was only used for testing in development of the i-MiEV, never in the production model. They are 16kWh (G model) and 10.5kWh (M model)

The BMS and charging are probably okay...the LEV50 LiMN max charge voltage is 4V while the CAM80 is 3.7V but other LiFE batteries like Thunder Sky can go to 4V and the CAM80 has overcharging tolerance. The minimum voltage for both is 2.5V The capacity difference doesn't affect the BMS and...
