Good 'on ya, Ben Brown! You've been a valuable contributor to this forum for 4+ years now, and member content like your article is a great ingredient for revitalization of the Electric Auto Association!
Having a low range EV as your sole transportation is quite challenging for most folks, but even low income households often have two or more cars, and a cheap used EV as the family workhorse is something they could greatly benefit from. Heck, we're now at the point where a household could run two EVs for the former cost of one- always charging one while driving the other! Our gas minivan is now in reserve duty, getting fired up only for occasional long trips, as carpooling during COVID just ain't happening...
