Seat heater failed at 24,000 miles.

I have noted some posts where the seat heater failed.
Mine just did.
I have had the car almost 3 years, white 2012 premium package, bought 'new' in 2014.
I am curious...How many years/miles have those with a serious experience?
Fortunately it's still under warranty so on Tuesday a 52 mile drive to Elgin IL to have it fixed.
Easy round trip due to the EVgo palatine DCQC.
Anyone else with the seat heater problem?

Just a comment that I had posted previously.

On a hot summer day in my driveway while playing with the controls on my new used 2012 ES, i felt a sudden very strong vibration in the driver's seat bottom which lasted about 5 seconds.

It took me some time to discover that the seat heater is a separate unit with an enclosed thermostat and with me seated on the seat in July, the seat likely got hot enough to repeatedly trip the thermostat at a high rate.

In your case it would be interesting to determine the failure mode.

Is it a fuse, the connector, the thermostat or a burned out element?
