Hello,

I've had my i-MiEV only a few days. It was one of the ones that a dealer bought to collect the incentives and then sold as a used car. However, in my case, the dealer wholesaled it to a used car dealer. The used car dealer knows very little about the car, so I'm asking the question here.

In the glove box I found 2 screws and two threaded metal collars that fit them. What are they for? Where do they go? Picture at:

Thanks for your help.

Looks like screws to hold the front license plate bracket on :?: . If something else falls off try to use them to hold it on

yep- front license plate mounts. My dealer didn't use em either- he just ran a sheet metal screw through the bumper fascia...

My wife also thought for a while what for were those two bolts in the glove box until she lost her license plate! Moreover, she got a ticket for that.  Anyways, we bought a brand-new plate bracket to make sure this doesn't happen again (https://www.carid.com/license-plate-brackets/). Wish we knew that before, as too many expenses because of those small things... Or the dealer could've told us this.
