A new forum member, Phuc (velkommen!), has made his first post about a mobile phone/GPS mount that works in an i-MiEV. When I looked at the forum containing his photos, I was surprised by how active the Mitsubishi i-Miev / Citroën C-Zero / Peugeot iOn section of the Norwegian Electric Auto Association's Electric Auto forum is. This section was opened in August, 2010, and has 4,253 posts in 285 topics!

When I was conducting research on the worldwide sales of the i-MiEV and its cousins, I discovered that Norway is one of the sales leaders, especially on a per-capita basis. Through September, 2012, about 6 times as many i-MiEV's and its cousins have been sold in Norway (3,000) compared with in the U.S. This is particularly surprising because Norway's population is quite small (5 million) and its climate isn't ideal for EV's, yet there seems to be lots of EV interest, much more so than in neighboring Sweden where I live part-time (only 167 i-MiEV's and its cousins have been sold through September).

Because of their greater numbers and more extensive experience, Norwegian owners of the i-MiEV and its cousins probably have a few things that they could teach North American i-MiEV owners. The good news is that Norwegian and English grammar and word order are very similar, so Google Translate and Microsoft Translator work very well. For those using Safari under Mac OS X, an extension named "Franker" supports the translation of any text that is selected on a Web page which makes the translation of individual posts quite easy. Other Web browsers must have similar extensions.

I plan to spend some time learning from the Norwegian owners of i-MiEV's and its cousins.

Apparently they do not know about our OpevEVSE project :

(as an example)

You might want to tell them, perhaps in their "where to buy
the cheapest EVSE" thread.

That topic has actually come up in this thread.
Some of the forum threads have been made by owners under the various car makes and may or may not have been moved to the proper section, so a search is the best way to find stuff.

There is also a swedish forum located here, but they are not so active in the Mitsubishi section:
