I love this one: in 20 years, change the motor coolant and heater fluid!
Being the original owner of my still-driveable 1967 Saab, I often wonder how the $50 lifetime engine warranty (which I didn't buy) would fare today. :lol: (note that Saab declared bankruptcy a few days ago and is throwing in the towel)
Anyway, have to thank Nissan and Mitsubishi for leading the way in this first really serious wave of production electric vehicles (sorry, GM, you seriously squandered your beautiful EV1 technological lead). I don't expect any warranty issues, as the vehicle is really much simpler than an ICE. I'm hoping they've very conservatively designed the motor, motor controller, charger, and, of course, batteries. Only time will tell, and the iMiEV already has a proven track record before being brought here to the US.
 
The Mitsubishi iMiev does have a track record from around the world which I think is a huge plus.

And the 8 year 100,000 mile warranty on the battery sure doesn't cause me any worry!
