Programming a USB Flash Memory for the Stereo

Has anyone does this yet? If so, what's the best way to store the music (in separate files and folders?) so as to best be able to access what you want with the 'Memory/Track' Up/Down button on the stereo?

Each song as a sepatate file, grouped together in folders by artist . . . . or how do you go about it? What does the button on the stero actually do . . . . other than skip from file to file? Can you easily move from folder to folder too?

I do folders and then the files under the folders that go in that album.

you can move from folder to folder with the round button on the dash.
