MUT III tool experience

Mon Jan 09, 2017 12:31 pm

Anyone with experience and guidance for buying a MUT III tool?

I just had an experience with the yellow error light turning on - probably because of weak 12 V battery. I drove the car for 2-3 days and it locked up. Not possible to start, not possible to charge. The dealer wanted $50 to read the error codes.

I figure I just buy a MUT III tool and then I am able to read the error codes myself and do some early diagnostics.

I found some posts discussing the MUT III tool, but none that shared experience of anyone that bought and used it successfully.

Glad to hear that (about you getting the tool, not the car errors). Please keep us apprised of progress, and if you don't mind, what did the used tool cost you?
