Looks like the can-do kids at EMW have released their CHAdeMO upgrade. For only $599, it'll convert their 12, 20, or 25 kW units to CHAdeMO. However, that's without the honkin big connector. I've asked the contractor that's upgrading Blink stations to accidentally drop one of the old Yakazi Gen 1 metal connectors off of their truck, but no luck....

So, EMotorWerks has finalized pricing of their 3D-printed CHAdeMO handle and cable, at $599. That plus the $899 upgrade to one of their chargers, and someone with an EV conversion could add CHAdeMO for $1500 (which was approx the price of an inlet alone across the Mitsu parts counter). Adding a new charger to the mix raises the stakes $2600 for a 25 kW charger, for a total DIY CHAdeMO price of $4100. Seems like a lot o dough, but it raises your home recharging speed by 750% for pennies compared to a commercial-duty unit (that would also require a 3-phase supply).

My projectitis is currently being carefully controlled, and this item is a year or two down the wish list. Anybody else able to make it happen?
