Hi iMievers!

In case you live near Boston, and have a QC port, but don't check PlugShare too often, you should take a look. In the past week or two, 8 new stations have come on line, and at least 4 more in the near future.

They're all at Nissan dealers, but most of them are friendly. If they give you a hard time, tell 'em you're thinking of a LEAF in the near future.

Anyway, some of them are 24/7, free, no card needed. Westboro needs a ChargePoint card.

Rumor has it that a state EV incentive is coming soon.

Just an update. This round of CHAdeMO installs in New England includes 12 in MA, 2 in CT, 1 each in VT and ME.

Sadly, the one in Hadley MA is limited to customers. Don't know why they bothered.

Most of the others are 24/7 and they won't care if an iMiev uses it. If you see one at a Mitsu dealer, please list it on Plugshare.

Thinking of getting one of the new iMievs for our daughter when they come out. Sounds like a good price point.

There's a 2012 for sale in New York that might be a better deal for you than a new one - It has the QC port too

That's a nice looking car, thanks. $16,500 isn't bad either, but with the upcoming $2500 MA rebate and $7500 from Feds, I should be able to get a new one for $12k.

CHAdeMO has really expanded nationwide, check PlugShare for your area.

A new one just opened in West Haven CT at a CVS. There'll be one at UMass Amherst in a couple weeks. MA has plans to install 15 at highway service plazas, CT and VT as well, not sure how many.

The CHAdeMO Association just updated their map, but still doesn't show the New England stations. Cracker Barrel restaurants in Tennessee have tried to draw business from the Leaf plant in Smyrna. Whole Foods grocery chain seems to also be committed.

I think reports that Whole Foods is getting out of having charging stations is overblown. The problem seems to be that they rely on other companies to manage the chargers. The issue seems to be their relationship with 350Green , which was acquired by Car Charging Group, Inc..

Seems 350Green had a history of not paying its bills. (From 6 May 2013)

Car Charging then had a legal dispute, which is likely still ongoing. Seems to only effect Chicago area stores.
