I've been reading about the Leaf's possible problem with premature battery degration due to a lack of cooling capability in hot climates. I was wondering about our battery - is it better designed that the Leaf, or are we also vulnerable to heat problems?

Our particular battery cells are pretty much the latest state-of-the-art and have a very low internal impedance which means they generate minimal heat internally and we have a battery fan that I've never yet heard turn on (not to be confused with the motor liquid cooling pump). Although I do baby my batteries on very hot days (i.e., avoid high currents and keep the needle primarily in the green zone), I'm not worried as so far I've been very impressed by our iMiEV's engineering. Have a look over at this thread for more discussion on this topic: http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=487
