Communicating directly with the BMS (reuse of battery-pack)

Hi

Unfortunately i had to say good bye to my Peugeot Ion, due to serious computer errors, and time pressure in general :)
But i salvaged the the battery, and would like to be able to use the cells in another project.

I would love to reuse the BMS, and I've been looking to find a way to communicate directly with the board on top of every battery pack.

They all end i a 8 pin connector, which i think is connected parallel to every battery pack. However i do not know the use of each pin, and have not been able to find it described in the Circuit diagrams in the workshop manual:

Do anybody have more information about this BMS, and how to communicate with it?

There seems to be a private Can-bus for the batteries, but i do not know which pins it should be connected to?
And i guess i also need to supply a voltage, to power up the Can bus chip at the BMS.

-seems to be able to communicate through a SPI interface, so these connections might also be accessible though the connector?

then there is a fellow in the UK that has decoded all the BMU commands to all re-use in other application. Tom DeBree, i will try to find a good link or email to reach him.

The connections in 8 pin connector must be like this:
pin 1: Can L
pin 2: not connected
pin 3: in?
pin 4: 12v
pin 5: Can H
pin 6: gnd
pin 7: out?
pin 8: not connected

So i guess i would be able hook up some power, and connect a can bus, but the next problem is to address and tell the BMS something that would give a meaning full response back, like the voltage of every cell :)
If i understand Simp-bms/Tom DeBree, he has found the commands and addresses of the Imiev BMS, and i guess that is what i would like to know as well :)
I might try to contact him, for more information.
It would be fun to know what the no. 3 and 7 pins were used for. Maybe a serial connection to processor, with special commands, like programming, and direct communication for initial or test purpose.
 
That is the daisy-chain between CMUs used for CMU numbering. The wiring colors were listed in one of the previous thread links of my previous post to you along with the board schematics.
