Hi Folks,

Is there a way to know for certain if a 2012 has the LEV50 or LEV50N cells?

I did a forum search but didn't find anything definitive.

Thanks and good health, Weogo

Bump.

Does anyone have an answer to this? I remember reading that it was mid-2012 (by build date) that Mitsubishi made the swap, but now cannot find the reference.

Thanks for your help.

I was also searching for a cut-off date, no luck, however I used the VIN # to get the exact build date of the car, was interested to buy 2012 model, turns out it was actually manufactured in August 2011 in Japan and then shipped to Europe so no LEV50N cells.

I seem to have stumbled upon the answer in https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10116253-9999.pdf.

Though not stated explicitly, it appears that the magic build date for LEV50N cells is after November 15, 2012 for North American cars.
