iMiev videos from 2010.

Initial Pilot Show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfTiRNzbSko

The iMiev: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMtNkB8iFyI

The Last iMiev Drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybNxIOS_3lU

Wonder what happened to all of the loaner cars?

Enjoyable videos and good points about electric cars and the iMiev.

And something about Robert Llewellyn: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Llewellyn

I thoroughly enjoyed his series on the i-MiEV. His videos were a contributing factor in me ultimately buying one, especially the one about snow driving.

Seconded. I'd like to know what happened to them. They were likely sold at a later date (Koorz was one of the original demo cars in the US which was later leased until I bought it).

Robert LLewellyn is one of my hero's, he starred as Kryten (the robot) in the BBC 'Red Dwarf' sitcom, which was one of my favorites as a kid:

The other Fully Charged videos are a really good watch - not from the technical point of view, but as a motoring magazine.

That seems like a decent car. Seems like a suitable I-MiEV replacement for those that keep the back seats folded down.

Wrote this in the comments of the Top Gear episode:

Just wait until that Tesla Model 3 hits the road. I think it hits all the nails on the head: 215 mile range, $35,000 (which you'll spend more than that for a comparable car), existing rapid charge network, excellent design, and enough acceleration to smoke most everyday vehicles.

People need to get over their perceptions and drive an EV. Go to your local Nissan or Chevy dealer and drive a LEAF or a Volt (or the upcoming Bolt EV). Experience that seamless, silent acceleration as you effortlessly merge onto the highway from a dead stop. Look up Plugshare and realize just how many charging options there may be. Use your trip odometer and find out how far you don't drive every day. Think about all the time you waste at a gas station when you can be doing other things at home while your car charges at night. Get a kick out of driving for only two cents per mile vs. 15 cents a mile for an average car. Forget changing the oil 3 times a year, too. Routine EV maintenance involves tires, windshield washer fluid, and windshield wipers.

The electric aviation thing is something I find fascinating. Although it's very much a different animal than this balls-to-the-wall acrobatic plane shown on Fully Charged, I'm following the progress of the Solar Impulse 2 around-the-world adventure and, when I can find the time to get back to my model airplane hobby (probably in a few years, when I reach retirement,) it's going to be all battery/electric.

Here's another Thumbs Up :!: : https://chargedevs.com/newswire/siemens-260-kw-electric-aircraft-motor-makes-first-public-flight/

Speaking of which can the site make/add/incorporate a "Thumbs Up" and "Thumbs Down" smilie?

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. I'd love to fly in that.

Thumbs Up on the Clean Space app: https://youtu.be/4C1zjblLIyI
