The only three models of cars (other than myself) I have seen charging have been Volts and Leafs and Smart Car Fortwo electrics owned by an Austin company called CARS2GO.
It's weird that I have not seen a Prius plugged in yet ...

Imagine, german chancellor Merkel wants a million electric cars.

I remember some vapor 6000 cars in germany sold. Unvapored it looks like some 400 private owned evs. And Karin and me have got one.

It is very difficult to find an electric car you can buy in germany but I have actually seen in my county a Peugot Ion and I am told there is also a Citroen cZero waiting in the shop. We have got a Mitsu and our dealer is still waiting for a new one.

The cities in our county, the electricity guys actually have begun thinking - proprietary - money - monopoly ...

But the only support for public charging is grass roots and most of the time it is for free.

Too few charging spots for those many electric cars. I'll blow the whistle and cry wolf

My network is http://www.park-charge.ch/e/index.htm

And the map is http://lemnet.org/LEMnet_Map.asp

Put marks on everything left side except the boxes named "nur ..." that should show most of the charging points. Klick "anzeigen" an then go down the map.

Most of them are grass roots. France is shown but they use a different map of coarse.

Some communal power sources have their own network and each of them their own RFID card.
