Admin, if this ad is not compliant with our rules, I'll be glad to pull it.

Since we bought a Tesla MS85 as our long-distance car, our much-loved first-generation (the best!) Honda Insight needs to go. I've already posted on the InsightCentral forum, but thought that maybe an i-MiEV owner would like to own what, to date, is still the most fuel-efficient gasoline production car ever made, as their long-distance car. This one is a true cream-puff with a highly-desirable manual transmission. Details -

Purchased new June 2006. Two months remaining on battery warranty. I am the original owner. Clean title.
Mileage: 37,948 miles
Lifetime 70.7 lmpg,
Manual transmission.
Beautiful inside and out and runs and shifts perfectly.
Never in an accident.
Her name is "Poppy" and she's a jewel!
When not in use, kept under cover in the garage all her life.
Absolutely original, plus -
- Honda OEM air conditioning installed slowly and carefully by a fastidious BMW mechanic friend and it works perfectly.
- Fumitomo oil drain valve.
- AGM battery installed about six years ago
- Carpet cover over rear carpet
- Cargo net (never used)
- Gray sheepskin driver's-side seat cover
Mobil 1 used after first oil change. Oil changed religiously. Engine air filter changed twice.
Nothing else done to her since new - undoubtedly needs cabin air filter and brake and other fluids changed.
Never let anyone touch her except for a Honda recall very early in her life.
Never a problem with the main battery - discharges and charges normally.
Flawless except for a couple of almost-invisible marks on left rear panel and a few minor blemishes and one small scratch in right front bumper.
Runs perfectly. Mostly driven by my wife who is a careful gentle driver. Car used only for long trips between SF Bay Area and Medford Oregon, and once to L.A., but driven often enough to keep everything running and batteries charged. Almost never driven in the rain.
Everything works.
We are non-smokers, no pets ever inside the car.
Reason for selling: going totally green with 100% BEVs.
Price: asking $9,000
PM if interested.
Here are links to her photos - she's a deeper red than the pictures show:

If I were you, I'd sell her to a reputable auto museum. Cars in dealer showrooms here aren't that clean! You've taken really good care of her. There's no way I'd bring a car that immaculate to Pennsylvania with our potholes and salt.
