My wife and I made a trip to see family & friends during the Holidays

In one day we drove 230 km (143 miles) ,
in -10 C (14 F)
fast charged 3 times.

We were warm & comfortable the whole time using the Diesel heater.

Last Saturday we made a nice 85-mile (going) trip to visit friends in Monterey via Salinas (to look over a possible used i-MiEV for my neighbor at the Mitsu dealer there), stopping once at Gilroy Outlets to first DCQC and then L2 top-up while we had breakfast. Plugged in at our friends' garage 240vac dryer outlet and enjoyed a beautiful day by the beach - went for a nice long leisurely walk in the sand, despite the cool 60degF (15degC) weather. Return 80-mile trip that evening was faster, with a 15-minute DCQC top-up in Santa Cruz and only time to take a bathroom break and grab a cup of coffee. Couldn't resist pointing out to my wife that, at the top of the ~2000ft (~580m) summit, we had RR=15 miles and 25 miles left to go... :twisted: Arrived home comfortably with three bars ... Painless 165-mile (265km) day. No heater but had a 12v blanket in case we needed it (we didn't).
