Old Japanese motor cycle manuals were really fun to read. One of the favorites I remember was in a section on driving on slippery roads. The manual actually said "beware of the skid demon". I've gone through the rest of my life thinking about that passage every time I drive on a slippery road.

Reminds me of instructions that came with a Taiwanese motherboard ( in the days when it made sense for me to build computers for clients):
It had among other gems this exact phrase ...
"We are honorable to be partner in your computer affair."
Was relaxing and a bit of humor popped into my head:
There once was an iMiev named Steve,
who desired his electrons like every BEV.
He withered and dithered,
til his fix was done tethered,
then he hurried and scurried from morning til eve.
