Re: Turtle riding (How far has the turtle brought you ?)

I do it quite often. I noticed I can rely on the SOC Canion reading. The car stops at 0-2% SOC and every % equals at least 1 km of easy driving. It happened a few times I came to a planed charging station with less than 5% SOC w/o any range anxiety.

Re: Great idea for pre heat pre cool without imiev remote

I just don't care about missing remote in Citroen C-Zero. On cold days coming in a few weeks a small 240V 2 kW fan heater does the job quicker and better than integrated car's heater. I just need a power strip to charge and heat the car simultaneously home or at charging station.

Re: How long will it be before electric cars will be the nor

I believe the answer is simple. EVs will outsell ICEs when prices will be equal and range will reach let's say 200 miles. Even today there is no real technical reason for so high prices of nowadays EVs. All depends on the political and corporative will and decisions.

Re: Charging blocked due to high cell temp?

Usually I hear fan starting right after ch. cable has been plugged in. Red charging light with SOC bars on dashboard come on right on the start of charging. I checked outlet - no problem detected. Yesterday it happened again. I came home with 37-41°C cells temp. range. Charging didn't start, red cha...

Charging blocked due to high cell temp?

Yesterday was very hot here in Slovenia. I left home at 37°C drove carefully 140 km and stopped at my father's house with 10% SOC for charging. I plugged in and... nothing happened. Cells temps were between 38 and 42°C. I called Citroen 24/7 assistance... usual story - they have no clue at all. I lo...

Re: High Temp on #64 sensor -

how much heating are the cells in that proximity actually getting, since temp sensors are on the BMS boards?? Not much I suppose. Cells covered by temp sensor 64 would cool down much slower if they were affected by hot tube when you stop the car. I noticed that sensor 64 temperature is matching oth...

Re: Thinking to buy electric car . any advices please ?

It's OK, every country has to start building charging infrastructure at some point in time. I see your electricity prices are even lower than ours so your acquaintances will very soon envy your mobility costs and other EV advantages. Even more if you'd buy "almost new" I-miev for less than...

Re: Thinking to buy electric car . any advices please ?

There were rumors (slovene Ions only!) that stock cars were left fully charged on hot summer weather so the range was questionable. But I have no evidence of it. All three brands are build in the same factory with same materials. Only difference is gear shift and only one trim level (C-Zero, Ion) wh...

Re: Thinking to buy electric car . any advices please ?

It is the same battery. PSA (Citroen & Peugeot) don't have their own packs. They cooperated with Mitsubishi many years before I-miev. Mitsubishi produces models for other brands also. They are only rebadging them for Citroen and Peugeot. You sure know Mitsubishi Outlander and Citroen C-Crosser. ...
