Re: Long Distance Travel Battery Thermal Concerns

assembling large cells with 18650 cells should be pretty straightforward, albeit with all cells in parallel, not series (each group of cells are wired in series, though). The 18650 cell is quite capable. There is a company in Sweden called Vtech Tuning who have disassembled an Outlander PHEV batter...

Re: EvBatMon

Looks like the the Ah and PMC values that are displayed are not properly going into the txt file. We have had a report from another user with the same issue and we will look into this bug shortly. In the meantime if you wish you can carefully edit the PMC file and insert the capacity reading so tha...

Re: EvBatMon

For those who have already purchased the Android version, will you offer some kind of "transfer" to switch to iOS when the app is released ? We will refund the Android purchase if you later purchase the iOS version. Note the iOS version will be around 40% more expensive due to higher hard...

Wifi does not use mobile data on my Android phone (Samsung) so maybe it is device specific? Wifi and mobile data have their own enable/disable on the 4.2.2 version of Android I run.

Re: EvBatMon

Is the OBDLink MX Wi-Fi supported by EvBatMon ? Yes, we have users running the MX. Just wondering which platform will have the latest updates first in the future ? Both versions will have the same functions ? Identical, all versions will have the same functionality wherever possible and have the sa...

This is true, however only if you drive your EV straight after charging.
Leave your EV for 24 hours after charging and SOC (and range) will drop by about 1.5% or so.
The SOC gauge factors this in, so if you drive straight away after charging you get a bit of a bonus.

Re: Battery Recalibration - When Does the Charger Turn Off?

zzcoopej: How's that 2015 PHEV working out? The PHEV is fantastic, an excellent compromise in our situation and a perfect partner for the iMiEV for our family. Most of our PHEV trips are <50km eg school runs, however we sometimes do up to 2500km on holidays and there are not many places to charge y...

Re: Battery Recalibration - When Does the Charger Turn Off?

I had already downloaded CanIon and it didn't work with my existing ELM327 bluetooth OBD2 adapter or an Innova 3030 USB scangauge. Hi, our app EvBatMon uses different protocols to caniOn and may well work with your existing OBD (no promises however). If EvBatMon doesn't work with your existing OBD ...

Re: EVBatMon Readings

Be good to just keep a plot every 3 months against mileage - see the two curves develop. Implement some controls and get a few IMIEVers doing it. Actually this is already a free option for all EvBatMon App users! In EvBatMon you can elect to upload your battery data automatically from the App to ou...
