Re: Faulty Heater Immobilizes i-MiEV

Richard the Mitsubishi mechanic has tried the resistors, still no ready ping.
He is in the process of removing my imiev's heater unit and plugging it into the C0.
Need to get in help from Stan if it turns out to be the faulty heater stopping the final HV relay working

Re: Faulty Heater Immobilizes i-MiEV

Covers off mcu, all looks good, fuses all checked.
Pack voltage OK, shows 70 miles range, State of charge weird- initially shows 3 bars then slowly lights up all 16 one bar after the next.
Would not take a charge from a ChaDeMo.

Re: Faulty Heater Immobilizes i-MiEV

Mechanic says: P 1A15. High voltage circuit one -heater plugged in. Showing no codes when heater unplugged. Heater unplugged meaning the HV connector unplugged, or the 8-pin control connector unplugged, or both? If the HV, then just leave that unplugged and try again with the 8-pin connected- -no e...

Re: Faulty Heater Immobilizes i-MiEV

OP: Can you get the diagnostic trouble code numbers from the mechanic--be interesting to see what led to that conclusion Mechanic says: P 1A15. High voltage circuit one -heater plugged in. Showing no codes when heater unplugged. Mitsubishi Technical seems to think it's the faulty heater stopping ca...

Re: Faulty Heater Immobilizes i-MiEV

I was told the code, will post the number tomorrow when I give the mechanic the 2-100 ohm resistors.
No fault code is thrown when the heater is unplugged, but won't give ready ping.

Re: Anyone has a i-MiEV older then mine here?

Thanks for the information. I was suspicious that I have lost at least 10% battery capacity just on the range display.

Re: Faulty Heater Immobilizes i-MiEV

Is there anyway of getting in touch with Stan, would buy his old resistive heater.
Will try and connect 2 100 ohm resistors across the three terminals as shown in video before anything else.
Thanks for the help

Re: Anyone has a i-MiEV older then mine here?

My imiev has now done 58k miles, does the battery degradation show up in the state of charge meter ie is everybody's imiev still showing 16 bars?

Re: Technical

Tried disconnecting heater unit but car still won't power up
Somebody on the forum must know of a source of parts from a wrecked imiev somewhere in the EV motoring world.
