Re: Mitsu Tech said I set car to not charge on Mondays

Make sure that the 12V Aux battery is not worn out or old--a fresh 12V is cheap insurance to get you through the winter. A weak or old 12V can cause a multitude of issues with Electric Vehicles... Good Luck to you Excellent point - I should have mentioned that. A weak 12 volt battery is probably to...

Re: How good is the car's range prediction

My point was . . . . if the car stops moving at 4.5%, then the 10% remaining isn't really 10%, since a big part of it isn't usable

Re: How good is the car's range prediction

So if the car often stops moving at 4.5%, then the RR is actually showing range 'til 5.5% and not 10% I find in my two cars over the past 6+ years, how far the car will go after zero RR appears to be a constantly decreasing number - When they were new, I could go 6 or 7 miles at 45 or 50 mph ...

Re: Mitsu Tech said I set car to not charge on Mondays

So . . . . they kept the car for a week and did . . . . absolutely nothing? Great Dealer!! As to question #1) I would ask them to show you where it says this in writing. I've never heard of such a thing and it's not a requirement #2) There have been other instances of the behavior you're speaking of...

Re: Need a longer range ev

I really like the idea of driving pure EV's . . . . wherever and whenever practical. Our two iMiEV's have been the best things we've purchased in a long time. The wife loves hers and that's largely because in more than 6 years, she's never had the slightest bit of 'range anxiety' - I keep it charged...

Re: What's inside a cell?

Interesting! - He calculates an iMiEV could have a 27 Kw pack made out of standard 18650 cells. I hope someone starts assembling modules using our OEM BMS modules so when the time comes, we have better options for replacement

Re: long-term parts availability ?

I think $300 is pretty close to the dealer price for a headlight assembly - I've seen them on eBay more than once for $200. I have a spare right one in my garage as a result of a minor fender bender my wife had a few years back. I've hung on to it thinking sooner or later a forum member here might n...

Re: Simple question about chargers

I think it would help if we knew where you're located (Europe or North America) and what year and model car you have - iMiEV, iOn or C-Zero Public charging doesn't involve you buying any cables - You just plug in the J-1772 connector and you're charging . . . . unless maybe you live in England, wher...
