Re: Any tips to damaging the main battery?

Shhhhhhhh..... Don't tell anyone! Only 1 QC charger in town and it isn't free :( Currently enjoying free power from work! I think I have til dec 2019 for battery warranty. I wouldn't be too upset if I managed to get it replaced for free. :) I only turtled once on a range test. But I can certainly do...

Any tips to NOT damaging the main battery?

What frowned upon (but not warranty-voiding) practices should I stay away from to prevent untimely battery death?

Let her freeze up really good in the winter on zero charge?

Or?

Re: WTB - Stuff. Charger, Wheels, & More

I have found new aftermarket DDin housings for $80 delivered. But if someone is parting out a car, may as well keep some plastic out of the landfill. Also, not in a hurry right now. Just wanting to start hoarding things. Would love to find a complete crashed car, but these are quite rare on this sid...

Re: Ultra cold weather range

Awesome. That's encouraging.

I'm in Red Deer, Alberta.

2012 es with QC

I'll be able to trigger my diesel heater from my alarm remote or cell app.

The big thing for me is it's going to be parked outside this winter.

Re: Ultra cold weather range

All good info, thabks. We aren't allowed any type of temporary shelters or garages, so I would actually have to permit one. And with a potential move coming up, it may be a lot of effort for only a couple of months of usage. I think I will try and put on as large of a fuel tank I can fit and use the...

Ultra cold weather range

Winter is coming. It's already dropping to 0 degrees (c) here at nights. And for a good chunk of the season, we will sit between -20 / -25 with some days as low as -40 and sometimes a solid week of -30 Currently live 15km from work. No problem with Level 2 charging there. No L2 at home yet but curre...

Re: Upgrading the heating system to bioethanol or Diesel fuel

Ugggggg. I just did some testing and wrote a whole post about the results then something went bad and its gone. The short version of the story is: The white wire at the transistor is a fairly high impedance. like 17k ohm when off. And it increases all the way up over 100k ohm when on max. So it may ...

Re: Upgrading the heating system to bioethanol or Diesel fuel

Based on the electrical diagrams, the blower speed is regulated by the violet and white wires on the blower transistor mounted to the blower itself. Would need to test these leads and see what they do when the fan is at the speed you want. The service information I have gives no indication as to wha...
