Re: Any tips to NOT damaging the main battery?

I changed the subject title on the first post.

A simple change in wording.

Now feel free to list of battery damaging things so we all know what to stay away from.

Re: What are all the dead switch-panels for?

Moved heated seat switch to the outside panel. Now I can actually see it. Quick and easy to do. 5 mins. Just drop the lower dash panel, unwrap the wire bundle and move the seat harness over to the end panel. wrap wire bundle back up and install back onto lower dash panel. Not a terribly exciting mod...

Re: Any tips to damaging the main battery?

I work at a dealership. This type of thing happens every single day and is part of doing business in the automotive world. In fact, I see things warrantied all the time that aren't actually bad, just to make a customer feel better. Approved by the mfg. I don't feel bad about it in the absolute sligh...

Re: Marketing the USED I-MIEV

Oh, I will buy your 2nd set of wheels and tires though.

Then you can get some cash that may not add much value to the price of the car as a whole.

And swap out my steering wheel and radio for yours too.

Re: Marketing the USED I-MIEV

I'm in Red Deer. Recently bought my 12 with 30km on it out of Calgary. ES with QC but no Nav. Paid $8k CAD down from an ask of $12,900 Black book in Canada is less than $6k CAD on a minty one. That being said, I felt I overpaid for the car. However I simply couldn't find any for sale on this side of...

Re: Steering Wheel Thumb Controls?

I also have one of these. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-TBAjv14UgHa/p_158RMX4S/Sony-RM-X4S.html#&gid=1&pid=1 This is a really old school Sony car audio wired remote control. Long before the days of steering wheel controls. You would mount it to a center console or the side of the steering co...

Re: Steering Wheel Thumb Controls?

i'm thinking i could find the right terminals to populate the CS in order to use the Coast button on the Cruise to switch the gear position to Neutral, or switch to B mode for max regen, etc... This "should" be relatively straight forward. If I can find a steering wheel with switches for ...

Re: What are all the dead switch-panels for?

Well, I now see the heated seat switch seems to be moved to the outside dead panel on the newer cars. I think I am going to move my switch over there. Below the steering wheel, I cant see when it is on. I usually forget to turn it off when I get to work. Cold in the morning but hot in the afternoon....

Re: Any tips to damaging the main battery?

LOL @ Don

As far as the BMU memory...... Gotta be a way to disrupt that information. Maybe even unplug it after depleting the battery. Or disconnecting the 12v?

Without power, then it certainly cant record anything.
