Re: Ha! I just made a coast/neutral button!

Had written this before Aerowhatt's post... As someone who has probably spent more time coasting in Neutral than anyone else on this forum (except maybe Aerowhatt), I've been following this N-button discussion with interest, primarily from the hacking standpoint and wondering if it could form the ba...

Re: An Article on Over Inflating Your Tires

Hi Don, I might add that it's good form to also provide a link to the source article, in addition to quoting from it. I've gone back to my unruly ways and have increased the pressure on my inexpensive front Blizzaks to their maximum 44psi sidewall pressure (still a compromise for me) with the benefi...

Re: my Miev will not charge

redcane, thank you for your posting, and commiserations. In desperation, I would still be inclined to put an external charger on the 12v battery for a while, and try again. Stopping charging when partially charged had been a main battery problem symptom, but your cell range looks good. Good Luck and...

Re: Charging i-Miev Troubles Using Inverter

1Recycler, thank you for your update. You are probably one of very few i-MiEV owners in the entire state of Nebraska, and IIRC the only one on this forum. Welcome! The older I get the more reluctant I am to offer specific advice, not knowing what an individual's technical expertise is. Despite my ag...

Re: Charging i-Miev troubles

1Recycler, perhaps let us know where you are located and thus which voltage and terminal configuration you are dealing with. http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3196 I've had no problems charging my North American i-MiEV on both 120vac and 240vac running off pure sine wave, modified si...

Re: Regen vs Neutral and speed for max range

Forum readers will recall that Aerowhatt and I have been embroiled in a discussion as to whether regeneration and slower downhill descents will increase an i-MiEV's range as compared to putting the i-MiEV into Neutral and simply coasting down the hill. Aerowhatt is a proponent of coasting and, from ...

Simon (DBMandrake), thank you very much for this in-depth update. Appreciate your going back to the originators of both OBDLink and CaniOn and providing them the feedback - and their respective responsiveness.

Re: Attached Garage Air Conditioner

RobertC, thank you for posting. Someone I know in California's central valley is buying an EV and their garage regularly sits at >100°F and the mini-split has been on my mind to do exactly what you did. Insulating the large garage doors is a nice touch! Agree with Don, a garage that 'clean' is alien...

... just verifying, this will not be any benefit over a 20A 120v 5-15 outlet correct? Correct - that's a 20A outlet into which you're plugging in your 15A plug. Bradleydavidgood777, the link you provided was for Teslas - specifically, the Tesla configuration for utilizing high-current 120vac from a...

Re: Supplemental cooling for the charger.

...You can just see the blower under the bracket. It is held in place by the channel over the lip of the "hood" opening. And a single bolt in the existing threaded hole on the charger case. Aerowhatt, looks like a nice clean install. Speaking of clean, is that compartment merely the resul...
