Maximum Miles Driven on One Charge

Trying to get a feel for the "i"'s realistic maximum range, I'd appreciate posts by owners of significant distances achieved with their iMiEV and a brief insight into average/maximum speeds, terrain, traffic type (city, highway, %-mix), and weather. Thank you.

Re: Driving in "B"

The ability to progressively increase regeneration by hand (and not trying to modulate the brake pedal) is one of the main reasons that I am purchasing the iMiEV instead of a Leaf. Having "B" was the final deciding factor in choosing the iMiEV over the Leaf. For those used to hypermiling, ...

Towing the "i"

Although I'm not into RVing, the iMiEV seems like a great companion for the Recreational Vehicle crowd. RV campgrounds have plenty of 240v outlets, the local distances driven are usually minimal, and the iMiEV's weight is manageable. When I contacted my Mitsubishi salesperson about towing the iMiEV,...

Reserve/Receive Dates

Thought I'd start this thread to try to get a feel for when we might expect to receive our pre-reserved vehicles. Would those who received their "i's" be kind enough to let us know when they ordered them and when they received them? According to my salesperson, Mitsubishi is controlling th...

Re: Let the Hacking Begin

On our second trip to look at the "i", we took my wife's bicycle - she's an avid cyclist and, since this car is for her, carrying the bike inside was a non-negotiable prerequisite. It's a full-size bicycle and with the front wheel off it fit just fine with the back seats down. Didn't try t...

Re: Wait for the Gen 2 Mitsubishi i?

The reason I chose the iMiEV over the Leaf is simply that it is smaller and more efficient than the Leaf. I don't dare wait, as the next versions will undoubtedly be larger. As it is, Mitsubishi caved in to the belief that all Americans are fat and widened the iMiEV especially for us - dang, at leas...

Re: The Geek Squad Charger Installation

My own Geek Squad experience has been somewhat frustrating. First off, it took many many phone calls to the Geek Squad before I could be put in touch with the appropriate group... usually I'd get transferred to someone trying to figure out which Mitsubishi TV I was talking about, ending by telling m...

Re: setting the clock display

Sorry, can't help. Ever since I missed a flight in London thinking that 11:00P stood for PM I've been happily using the 24-hr clock wherever possible.

Re: Better charging controls

jjlink, thank you very much for this timer suggestion - I've been looking for something like this 240v unit. In reading their manual, it looks as though their countdown feature seems to turn something ON instead of OFF at the end of the countdown.

Re: Better charging controls

MtnViewMark, thanks for posting. Sounds like another gadget not completely thought-through. Never want to turn something on only to have it turn off soon thereafter. Since the iMiEV (can't bring myself to calling it the "i") 120v EVSE limits the current to only 8A, I would imagine that per...
