Re: setting the clock display

My bad: yes, the clock in my iMiEV is indeed a 24-hour clock.
I have a workshop manual on order and hopefully changing this will be addressed in it.

Re: Practical solutions for extending cold weather range

CHAdeMO, you are in a seriously cold environment! Nice to know that the iMiEV drives well in snow. Quite frankly, the present state-of-the art barely supports operation of an EV in that cold a climate (look at the lower temperature limits in the owners' manual). I'd be inclined to store the car for ...

Re: setting the clock display

Hey MtnViewMark,

Just picked up my iMiEV and I'd like to set the clock to 24-hour format. Did you ever figure out how to do that? If not, maybe we can swap radios?

Re: Reserve/Receive Dates

Placed my order online December 5. Jumped through all the GeekSquad and MrElectric hoops. By February 7, the status of my order still showed as "Being Built" so I went down to the local dealer and bought an iMiEV off the dealer's lot. Overnight , the status of my order changed from " ...

Re: Survey: PayPal deposit of $299 for the car, refund.

I went to the local Mitsu dealer and bought an iMiEV off the lot yesterday. When I asked about the deposit refund to be part of the purchase paperwork, they said that since I was not purchasing the car that I had ordered online that I would have to go back online and cancel the order to get the refu...

Re: iMiev not selling well?

maruko - thank you for bringing up this topic. After two months of waiting and still seeing my car's status as "Being Built", yesterday I drove over to the local Mitsu dealer, found a slightly upgraded version of the iMiEV that I had on order, and drove home with it last night. I share you...

Re: iMiev not selling well?

maruko, where is this dealer located and are these cars really for sale or have they already been allocated to fleet purchases? For those of us with reservations waiting for our iMiEV, I was hoping that Mitsubishi would be satisfying us first. An alternate thought is that the dealer bought a bunch t...

Re: EVSE Overview

Just to close out the 120vac iMiEV power-input capability question, tests confirmed that the "i" onboard charger can draw at least 1600W at 120vac. For more details, see the Level 1 EVSE discussions http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=731#p731

Re: Unusual sound from underside of car

oahumiev, perhaps what you're referring to is the vacuum pump for the power brake booster? Most electric vacuum pumps I'm familiar with are awfully noisy, so I'm impressed if they've almost fully muted the sound and I don't recall hearing it at all on my test drive. I would expect to hear it for a f...

Re: Level 1 EVSE options

jjlink, thanks for the data and info about the OWL power monitor - good price. Today I went over to a friend's house and made some 120v tests on his iMiEV using my Kill-A-Watt P4400. Note that this is an uncalibrated consumer product, but, nevertheless, it does give us some idea of what's going on. ...
