Re: Is my battery dying ?

I dont disagree with the data, but seems unlikely that two cells would weaken at the same time... though I do understand your concerns. I would want to do the cell balancing procedure and repeat this test a couple more times and keep an eye on those two cells. I checked my 2012 car recently at 100% ...

Re: Wanted: Charging remote

I believe the charging remotes have to be coded to the vehicle, and if that is the case then that would be a dealer-only item, and from what I understand they are not cheap - in the order of $1000 (despite the fact it feels like a $30 part). In addition, that is contingent on your car having the ele...

Is it only the US models with the two front wiper blades?
All the clones and EU models seem to have only one... another win for keeping costs down :)

Yup, only the North American wider variant ones have 2 wipers.

Strange thing that I need advice about is steering. It feels like front caster is wrong on wheel alignment. Steering wheel thus not self-center well on small degree turn… If you steer left for fu degrees and let go the steering wheel, it stays that way… I’m not use to that, I do not remember I ever...

Re: Riversimple and Fuel Cell Discussions

^ so, the main problem with installing wind turbines wholesale, as I understand it, is that building permission is constantly challenged by people who live in areas where these may be in sight, so the extremely slow and bureaucratic planning laws have resulted in a lot of successful challenges. Ther...

More on ITM's progress in re-purposing natural gas networks to hydrogen. This appears to be part of a plan to convert all of the UK? http://www.itm-power.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/HyDeploy-launch-presentation.pdf That's an excellent bit of consultancy by KPMG, but the problem is in the small p...

Welcome to the forum mivanci5 - hope you enjoy the car. This whole 'brake lights on regen' thing is a bit confusing to me. The question I ask is 'what do the brake lights show'? - and that has traditionally been 'accelerator not applied, brakes applied'. So I suppose that it would make sense to have...

Re: Electric Vehicles are the future and it is closer than we think MIEV ; C Zero , ION

Even when you read all this stuff about super-capacitors and next-gen battery and charging options, most people are going to charge it at home 95% of the time, usually overnight (because actually, that only takes 5 minutes already). So my immediate thoughts are that companies should (for now) concen...

Re: Major EV Drive Components Replacement & Costs

@Sandage - well you could argue that if you get 4 years use out of a used EV costing you $5k, then have to scrap it, $1250 a year is still pretty cheap. You're not wrong. This is not totally specific to EVs. In general (a rash generalsation perhaps) auto makers are increasing the cost of major parts...

http://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/ferrari-admits-allowing-dealers-to-adjust-mileage-on-used-cars/ar-BBJHe9g?li=AAnZ9Ug&ocid=mailsignout Look, Ferrari have been sanctioning this sort of foul play for years.... looks like another scandal that's probably more widespread than we think. Still unsure...
