Re: EVBatMon Readings

EVBAtMon shows 37.4Ah for my 2012 i-miev (51k km) and car usually charges only up to 97.5%, so real available capacity is only 36.4Ah. And it's sad that Mitsu doesn't exchange batteries with this high degradation, because when I was looking for this car I thought If Mitsu tell that they expect 20% l...

Re: Switching electric car charger on and off frequently

Why not? I don't see why it should be problem for charger. It starts slow so it will be less stress for electronics.

Re: Switching electric car charger on and off frequently

I would worry about power cycling if it hapened once in 1-5 min, but I would not worry about it if it hapened once in 30min.

Re: New Owner - Ben got an iMiEV - Again!

I figured that the power savings would be SO MINIMAL that I didn't even bother to do one. Just for fun, let's do it right now! The normal license plate bulbs are 5 watt bulbs. The new ones are 220ma. 22ma at 12V is 2.64 watts. So, not a huge savings The LEDs are slightly less than twice as efficien...

Re: 12 Volt battery is failing, I'm looking for replacement

Guys, dc-dc could provide about 80A current, so any big battery would be charged properly! I don't see why bigger battery would take much more energy. It will take depends of how battery was discharged before. For battery 35Ah and 50Ah and I-miev consumption - it will be not so big difference, espec...

Re: PREPARATION FOR COLD SEASONS

I modified regular 120v 1500Wt heater to work from 60v 20Ah e-scooter battery and I am using it when I am along in car. Not bad actually. It helps if temperature outside not so low. Battery from scooter is pretty small, so it's not a problem to take it home and charge every day. I did same thing for...

Re: Solutions for windshield fogging in cold weather?

You could tint windshield - it will help against fogging and freezing. I want to check - how much is to tint windshield and if price not so high may be I will try to do it.
