Re: 12 Volt battery is failing, I'm looking for replacement

John, I have a whole bunch of Optimas left over from when I converted my Sparrows to Lithium - if you still need it, let me know and I'll give you one. I hadn't tried the Optima in the i-MiEV, and happy to see it fits (thanks for posting the photo) - I'll be replacing my 12v OEM battery the instant...

12 Volt battery is failing, I'm looking for replacement

My 12 Volt battery is failing and I'm looking for replacement. I have it on a BatteryMINDer to revive it for now. Has anyone found a good replacement AGM battery that will work? I looked around for other posts but not many look like they actually replaced it yet. I'm looking at my Prius's 12 volt ba...

Re: Vacuum Brake Booster

I had that recall done recently and it looks to me like this is intentional the mount holding the vacuum pump can move around a lot. I did not realize this until I wiggled the vacuum pump around with my hand after seeing your post.

Same here in the SF Bay the area required undercarriage recall parts are back-ordered. I'm not really worried about it in California since we don't have snow/salt issues.

Thanks for the picture. I guess we could try the adjustment to see effect it has on the fog lights.

Re: Replacing Filament Running Lights With LED Bulbs

I'm curious about the length of the LED modules and what that does to the fog light pattern, if anything I haven't taken the fog light/DRL units apart, but the LED's look to be longer than the OEM incandescent bulbs - Does this put them in the way of the light emitted by the fog lights? I wouldn't ...

Re: Replacing Filament Running Lights With LED Bulbs

What modules did you buy, what exactly did you trim to make them fit (the light modules, the light housings or both?) and what's your opinion as to whether the bigger light modules will interfere at all with the light output of the fog lamps? Inquiring minds want to know ;-) Don I bought these: htt...

Re: Replacing Filament Running Lights With LED Bulbs

Yes, even though the LED modules I bought on eBay were did not fit. I persuaded the lap housing to accept them with the help of my Dremel 8220 tool and a #115 cutting bit. Yes the 3 LEDs on the end of the module do point up at an angle; I am still pleased with the brighter results. See the differenc...
