Are you sure it's the same car?

Re: Replacement windshield wiper fluid resevoir cap

Heh, thanks. But to be clear, there's no shortage of caps available online; it's just that, when I check for compatibility, they all say no. The yeggi results don't seem much different in that respect -- no explicit compatibility checker, but no "i-MiEV" mentioned, either. I was hoping som...

Re: EVs in Everyday Life

I saw my first Tesla Model 3 today, at the Amish market. At least, I think that's what it was... I didn't get too close, but that front end is distinctive.

Re: Detaching the 12 volt

Well, I finally replaced the battery today. I'd left on the same damn cabin light again yesterday, and today the car would sort of start, but not go into Ready. I got various error lights, including the battery indicator. Weighing my options, I got out my multimeter and checked the voltage on the re...

Replacement windshield wiper fluid resevoir cap

I'm having no luck searching for a replacement online, although I figure a broad array of inexact substitutes should work. Temporarily, I'm using duct tape. :D

Re: Ev Trucks

... which reminds me, despite the proven fuel-saving benefits, NHTSA still hasn't approved the elimination of rear-view mirrors on cars despite Tesla urging them for ten years! Um... good? I've mentioned before: LCD monitors in general, and my i-MiEV's rear-view display specifically, get washed out...

Re: Rarer than a Mirai!

At least we can say the i-MiEV is more evenly distributed. I've seen i-MiEVs; never seen a Mirai in person. I assume they're mostly in California, like the fueling stations (apparently there are also two stations in South Carolina, one in Massachusetts and one in Connecticut -- none near me). Just y...

Re: Failed traction battery. How many weeks does Mitsubishi make you wait?

All those tax breaks don't come free... congestion tax? Why so many people? Maybe if the UK leaves the Euro and the rest of the countries in Europe follow suit there wouldn't be a need forcing people to go electric through taxation. I'm going to be generous and assume that you just skipped a few st...

But there's also much less waste heat, so if anything, I'd have guessed that EVs would be less attractive to mice. :?:

Re: EV prices in the next 3 years.

It's likely that you spend much more than $1,000 per year on gasoline. Eh, $1000 sounds about right to me. Average driving is said to be 10,000-15,000 miles a year... let's assume 10,000 for simplicity. A typical ICE car gets 25 MPG -- that's 400 gallons/year. And the price of gasoline is hovering ...
