Re: Dealer battery calibration

Yea I get the impression the dealers say just about anything.
I wonder if Japan has any idea how cars are sold in North America.. I think they'd be shocked to see how misinformed clients are and how sales rep treat their clients.

Re: Montreal to Quebec city fast Charge Network

I was so happy when I read the e-mail from Circuit Électric this morning - I was in disbelief !
So happy the projects wasn't canned after all.

Re: Dealer battery calibration

From everything that I've read 'till now I probably wont be doing the battery calibration service with the dealer. Before purchasing the car I asked the dealer what the yearly maintenance was and was told that they completely discharge the battery using the A/C or heating and then slowly recharge it...

Re: How to install after market stereo in ES

Bonjour Xavier,

looks like a great unit. Was this fairly easy to install? I'd like to get the same one but I've never installed one before.
Also does the GPS work without data??

Yes fjpod - extremely ridiculous. Luckily the gov't credits back 50% of the cost.

Re: Which Level 2 charge station to get for home?

Just bought a Siemens EVSE from Amazon after a lot of indecisiveness... (#1st world nation problems) Anyways looks good from the reviews I've read and the 3 year warranty sure doesn't hurt. Also I like the option of easily delaying the charging without the use of the I-remote. I'm hoping I can setup...

Re: Why does Mitsubishi recommend fully charging every 2 wee

Thanks guys - I learned quite a bit today and Don good point on the preheating, hadn't thought about that. I'll start using L2 once the winter comes in. I was in Japan in July of 2013 and visited a Mitsubishi plant in Mizushima. I was informed that slight changes had to be made to the US/CAN version...

Re: Battery degradation

As far as I can tell it seems to be pretty plastic-ee under there.

Here in the wintertime the temps also get pretty low in the -20s and -30s. I read on one post that leaving the pack charging using the level 1 charger at 8amps would be a good idea to keep the battery when the car is parked outside.

Re: Why does Mitsubishi recommend fully charging every 2 wee

Vike, the only common sense I had was based on what I already knew of batteries: Higher voltage = Higher stress and temps = Not great for battery. I also have many sources to cite this. It's not just anecdotal. Yes I'll agree that 3.3kW vs 1.44kW probably seems negligible compared to 50kW but your m...
