Re: How to install after market stereo in ES

The radio goes off when I go into reverse (I have a backup camera installed). This was surprising.

Hey Howieb - I couldn't find the backup wire necessary for the backup camera to turn on... which one is it ?

Re: Canion

So just to be sure before I buy, the OBDLink LX Bluetooth works fine?
Why is it so much cheaper than the MX ?

Re: First Long distance Road Trip with the i-MiEV

The CHAdeMO protocol usually stops charge at 80%, though a few units will go straight to full (I think Fuji is one). 80% on an i-MiEV falls in between 13-14 bars. Charge above 85% will show 15 bars on startup. Charge above 92% will show 16 bars on startup. While charging, you should gain the 14th b...

Re: Montreal to Quebec city fast Charge Network

Happy to report I did the MTL -> QC city road trip as well.
Great job detailing the whole experience Sandage - really likes the videos.
I only stopped a total of 4 times during the whole trip, why did u have to stop so often?

First Long distance Road Trip with the i-MiEV

So it finally happened - I took my i-MiEV on its first road trip thanks to the CHAdeMO charging stations installed along the highway. Not only was the 536 km round trip from Montreal to Quebec City possible, it was actually fun. I made sure to drive under 90 km/hr and didn't use the A/C at all. I ha...

Re: Fast Charging in Winter Experience

Do you mind posting the charging summary for that quick charge that you did ? You should have got an Email with all the info. I would like to see the time and KWH's for that charge at -1 Deg C. Hey Don, Here's the email I received right after my session. There isn't much more info on it. I sent an ...

Re: Fast Charging in Winter Experience

I too used a QC recently and was disappointed with the result and it was only -1C when I used it. What I found most disappointing is they continued to bill even after an 80% charge was reached.. I was under the impression it would just terminate the session once my car got to 80%. 8.99$ for 9.1kWh i...

Re: Trouble Starting at 12 degrees F

The same happened to me this morning. I had the ABS, EPS and the Exclamation mark one. It stayed on until I parked and restart again. Maybe my car had to adjust to its first -20c degree experience. according to the owners manual though it says to stop the car and bring it to the dealer if the exclam...

Re: Why do Li-ion Batteries die?

During the cold months I was planning on charging through the night on 120v/8a to keep the pack active and warm. I let the car rest about an hour before charging it when I go home and the same when I leave in the morning. In the winter should I let the car rest after charging it in the morning or wo...
