Re: WTB $5000 MIEV

Well I missed out on another $5000 MIEV in Minnesota (by all of 1 day) Odd part is prices are going up, will see how the used market goes after Bolt deliveries start occurring outside cali. Ah well, anyone have a beater IMIEV they want to unload? As it is I am looking at a $250 ZX40 ac drive (I alre...

Re: US to create nationwide network of EV charging stations

Try to travel north of Madison or Milwaukee Wisconsin once, only public stuff is at Kwik trips and L1

On my trip to Niagara, I only had 2 real opportunities to charge, both L1 as well.

Re: Is it worth it?

This one @ 6,200 seems to be implying some sort of auction bid needed and is missing the rear left wheel if you click through the pics. I doubt you will be finding driveable volts under 10K... I have found at least 24 volts under $7000 this year, all were "repaired cars" which may or may ...

Is it worth it?

I have been looking at a bargain basement Leaf or IMIEV for some time to replace my fathers aging ZX40. I missed out last year on one for $5000 and have found SEs for around $5800 on up and ES's for $5500 on up. They are all dealer related so I can trade the dented and aging ZX40 EV and get some off...

Re: What to do with my dead iMiEV?

If I was more motivated with my fathers ZX40 is smashed, no idea how much work would be required to re-shell the ZX40 controls and drivetrain into an MIEV but I have a whole EV my father doesn't like to drive because its no longer "pretty" As toward parting, unless you are a damn good sale...

Re: Range Extending the IMIEV yet again

On ... the Volt you can inject a small amount of current 300-1500 watts) through the 12v (which isn't metered, I have done that mod myself) Ryan Thanks Ryan, I was unaware of that method. Are you saying that the Volt dc-dc converter will reverse the current flow and start recharging the traction pa...

Range Extending the IMIEV yet again

Odd to ask such questions on a car I have never owned but other cars like the Think City and even the Leaf have places one can inject power directly, the car meters and operates correctly but is able to go further because of "free" power coming from some other source. On the Think you can ...

Re: Auction selling price thoughts...

I have seen 2 low baller MIEVs sell 1 at Dan Goben sold for $4000, not the posted price but what he let it go for. 1 at Honda Motorwerks, higher miles $5000 I have been trying to get a low price one to replace my fathers ZX40, ah well, see how long it takes. Prices seem to be higher now than they we...

Most of those vehicles actually have a 660cc or 550cc motor, older ones were 360cc

1ltr are VERY rare and were only used in export markets like the UK or India.
